AUTONOMOUS ENERGY
Several objects and materials surround almost all dwellers to contribute their life. As time flows and technology is developed, our tools have been upgraded to powered with energy from particular sources. The existence of matters which we design depends on this energy as live beings Nevertheless, designers have never been interested in rest of plugs of the objects, cables of street lights that extend for miles away, etc… This essay includes that why and how designers should approach our energy usage and source; the way of harvesting it.
PLUG IN
Every moment in our life requires energy to consume and even though what we eat to survive varies by geography, daily activities, socio-economic levels, industry and even politics of countries, we can still measure, pick and design our food according to our knowledge on nutrition, emotions and expectations. Therefore, the system of nourishment thrives in different areas such as industrial, fast, organic, vegan, vegetarian, etc… At this point, our electricity sources display some set of similarities with our nutrition system. However, citizens are able to reach electricity from main sources which are generated in particular locations, even though scientists have discovered new possibilities for harvesting energy.
According to the table, next seven years of people in the UK rely on unsustainable energy sources. Furthermore, the powerlines of present-day that carry the energy through cities lost %6-%8 of it. The decrement raises with the distance between powerlines (Federico Rosei, Renzo Rosei, Ted-Ed, 2017). These data reveal that money citizens pay for the bill is contribute monopolized dangerous energy facilities and taxes for incredibly pricey and low-efficiency infrastructure expenditures. ‘’The Apparatus’’ doesn’t only take the freedom that citizens choose the energy source, also causes to progress the investments for renewable energy with slow and small steps. Therefore, other side of the socket is not important
